IPD is a photographer-first discovery and professional platform. Our goal is to make the signals behind discovery understandable while keeping editorial recognition, verification and organic ranking clearly separated.
What makes IPD different
No marketplace can replace your own judgement. IPD is designed to give couples clearer evidence for a shortlist and photographers a professional identity they can build over time.
Organic ranking cannot be purchased
Paying IPD does not increase a photographer’s organic Performance Score. The organic score is calculated from the published ranking methodology, not advertising spend or a manually entered rank.
Review confidence, not raw stars alone
Native published IPD reviews use confidence weighting, so one perfect rating does not automatically outrank a substantial history of consistently strong reviews.
Verification is separate from registration
Creating a photographer profile does not automatically grant IPD Verification. The Verified badge is a separate manual trust-review signal controlled by the platform.
Evidence before superlatives
IPD profiles are designed around portfolio, location, services, pricing guidance, reviews and verification state instead of automatically labelling every photographer “best” or “No. 1”.
Editorial recognition stays separate
Featured recognition is editorial rather than sold as paid placement, and awards are recognition signals. Neither increases the automatic organic Performance Score.
Built specifically around photography
IPD combines client discovery with photography-focused comparison, enquiries, reviews, availability, quotes, galleries and professional crew workflows.
Organic ranking
Three inputs, published in advance
Ranking version ipd-ranking-v1 uses native published review performance with confidence weighting, deterministic profile completeness, and server-controlled verification. Featured status, awards, legacy/manual ratings and editable timestamps do not increase the organic score.

What “not paid rank” means
A photographer cannot pay to increase the automatic organic Performance Score. IPD may separately operate editorial recognition or other clearly identified platform surfaces, but those signals are not inputs to the organic ranking formula or native review structured data.
