Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Indian Photographer Database ("IPD", "we", "us", or "our") and indianphotographerdatabase.in. By accessing or using the platform, creating an account, publishing a photographer profile, submitting a review, or sending an enquiry, you agree to these Terms.

1. Platform role

IPD is a photographer discovery and directory platform. It provides public profiles, search and comparison tools, curated discovery pages, reviews or feedback signals, enquiry tools, and related services. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific transaction, IPD is not the employer, agent, partner, or service provider of a listed photographer and is not a party to the photography contract between a client and photographer.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, safeguarding your login credentials, and keeping your account reasonably current. You must not impersonate another person or business, access another user's account without permission, or use the platform for unlawful or abusive activity.

3. Photographer profiles and listings

Photographers are responsible for the information and content they submit, including business identity, locations, service areas, portfolio material, pricing indications, experience, availability, services, and contact details. IPD may review, moderate, correct, restrict, suspend, or remove listings where necessary for platform integrity, policy compliance, legal requirements, or user safety.

A Verified badge indicates that the profile has completed the platform's applicable manual verification process. Verification is an additional platform trust signal; it is not a guarantee of future performance, availability, pricing, delivery, or the outcome of a booking.

4. Ratings, reviews, awards, and curated placement

Ratings, review counts, awards, featured placement, Top-Rated pages, and other discovery signals may come from platform records, administrative curation, published feedback, or the applicable ranking and eligibility rules used by IPD. These signals are intended to support discovery and comparison and should not replace a user's own review of current work, availability, written deliverables, and booking terms.

5. Prices and quotations

Prices displayed on profiles or discovery pages are starting prices, indicative estimates, or calculated planning guidance unless a photographer expressly provides a final quotation for a specific event. Wedding requirements vary by dates, functions, coverage hours, crew size, travel, accommodation, albums, films, revisions, and other deliverables. Displayed prices are therefore subject to change and do not create a binding offer from IPD or the photographer.

Clients should obtain and review the photographer's event-specific written quotation, payment schedule, cancellation or postponement terms, deliverables, travel requirements, and delivery timeline before making a booking or payment.

6. Enquiries, booking requests, and quote requests

IPD may facilitate communication between users and photographers. Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee photographer availability, acceptance, a particular price, or successful booking. Photographers remain responsible for responding to enquiries and for the services they ultimately agree to provide.

7. User content and portfolio rights

You retain responsibility for content you submit. By uploading or submitting content for publication, you represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to use it and to allow IPD to display, reproduce, resize, process, and distribute it as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the platform and the relevant listing or article.

You must not submit content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights; contains unlawful material; or is intentionally false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, or harmful.

8. Reviews and feedback

Reviews and feedback must reflect genuine experience or a legitimate basis for comment. IPD may moderate, reject, edit for operational reasons, or remove content that appears fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, duplicative, irrelevant, or inconsistent with platform rules. Users must not manipulate ratings or reviews through fake accounts, incentives that require a particular rating, or coordinated abuse.

9. Payments and photographer services

Unless a specific IPD feature expressly states otherwise, payments for photography services are arranged between the client and photographer. Each party is responsible for reviewing invoices, tax treatment, payment terms, refunds, cancellation conditions, contracts, licences, permits, insurance, and other requirements relevant to their transaction.

10. Prohibited use

You may not use the platform to:

  • violate applicable law or another person's rights;
  • scrape, harvest, or misuse personal contact information for spam or unlawful marketing;
  • attempt to bypass authentication, security controls, rate limits, or administrative restrictions;
  • upload malware or interfere with the availability or integrity of the service;
  • create deceptive listings, fraudulent reviews, or misleading identities;
  • use platform content in a way that falsely implies endorsement or affiliation.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We may add, change, suspend, redirect, or retire platform features, categories, pages, eligibility rules, or account functionality. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent retention of any feature, or that every profile or page will appear in search-engine results.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of responsibility

Users should independently evaluate photographers, contracts, portfolios, references, pricing, availability, permissions, and deliverables before booking. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IPD is not responsible for a photographer's acts or omissions, missed events, service quality, payment disputes, delays, losses, cancellations, copyright disputes, or other issues arising from an agreement between users.

13. Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access, remove content, or disable a listing when reasonably necessary for policy enforcement, security, legal compliance, platform integrity, suspected fraud, abuse, or prolonged account issues. Users may contact us regarding account closure or data requests as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with appropriate jurisdiction in India will govern disputes to the extent a dispute is not otherwise resolved between the parties and applicable law permits that jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@indianphotographerdatabase.in or through our contact page.
