Performance Score Methodology

The Performance Score is a 0-100 metric designed to give you an objective, at-a-glance measure of a photographer's quality and trustworthiness on our platform. It is calculated by combining real client feedback with key platform indicators.

Review Score (Max 50 pts)

The most important factor, combining both the quality and quantity of client feedback.

Average Rating (40 pts)

The core of the score. A photographer's average star rating (1-5) is scaled to a 40-point system. Higher ratings contribute more.

Review Volume (10 pts)

The number of reviews a photographer has received. More reviews signal consistent experience. This score is capped to ensure newer, talented photographers can still compete.

Trust Factors (Max 50 pts)

Signals of reliability, professionalism, and engagement with our platform.

Featured Status (20 pts)

A significant boost for photographers hand-picked and recommended by our admin team for their exceptional quality and professionalism.

Award Winner (15 pts)

Given to photographers who have won a platform-recognized award, signifying creative excellence.

Verified Badge (10 pts)

Awarded to photographers who have completed our verification process, confirming their professional identity.

Profile Completeness (5 pts)

A small boost for maintaining a detailed profile, including a bio and a personal website, which signals professionalism.

Why is the Score Capped?

The final score is capped at 92. This is intentional. It prevents a single, highly-rated photographer from dominating the rankings indefinitely and ensures that newer, talented photographers with excellent but fewer reviews still have a chance to be seen. The score is a guide, not a final judgment. We encourage you to use the comparison tool and view full portfolios to make your final decision.
