Glossary
Understand the key terms we use across the Indian Photographer Database to help you make informed decisions.
Starting Price
The base price a photographer lists for a standard, entry-level wedding photography package. This price is an indicator and may not include video, albums, or multiple days of coverage. Always contact the photographer for a detailed quote based on your specific requirements.
Performance Score
A data-driven metric (0-100) that provides an at-a-glance measure of a photographer's quality and trustworthiness. It is calculated based on their average rating, number of reviews, verified status, awards, and profile completeness. You can learn more at our Score Methodology page.
Deliverables
The final products you will receive from the photographer. This can include a specific number of edited digital photos, a highlight film, a full-length wedding video, a photo album, etc. Deliverables should always be confirmed in writing before booking.
Travel / Outstation
Refers to weddings taking place outside the photographer's home city. Outstation assignments typically incur additional charges for travel, accommodation, and logistics, which should be discussed and agreed upon beforehand.
Experience
The number of years the photographer has been professionally active in the wedding industry. While more experience can indicate reliability, many new photographers bring fresh, creative perspectives.
Rating / Reviews
Feedback provided by previous clients. The star rating is an average of all scores (1-5), while reviews provide detailed, qualitative feedback about a client's experience with the photographer.
Verified Badge
A green badge indicating that the photographer's identity and professional status have been manually reviewed and confirmed by the Indian Photographer Database admin team. This badge is a strong signal of trust and authenticity.
